What Have People Said?

"Coaching sessions have helped me gain clarity on what is important to me and stop wasting time on what does not. (Spending hours on social media or daydreaming about what I really want to be doing). Krystal has helped me build accountability in making choices that allow me to spend my time where it is most relevant to me." - Anonymous

How Long Does a Coaching Session Last?

The first coaching session is one hour and fifteen minutes long. This is where we design our coaching alliance by understanding what to expect from coaching and to also gauge if I am the right coach for you.

The sessions thereafter are 45 minutes in length. Depending on what your overall goal is, a coaching package can be a minimum of three sessions which is once a week or once every other week to 6 sessions and up. Please see my list of packages. Again, we design the alliance and decide what works best for you.

What is the Difference Between Coaching and Psychotherapy?

  • Therapists emphasize the past. Coaches focus on the future.

  • Therapists utilize a framework that may be based on pathology and illness. Coaches center their work around the belief that clients are healthy.

  • Therapists work with the unconscious mind. Coaches work with the conscious mind.

  • Therapists’ work is open-ended with “understanding” as the primary objective. Coaches work is often time-limited with specific desired behavioral outcomes.

What are the Similarities Between Coaching and Psychotherapy?

  • Both are concerned with making concrete changes in your emotional state and life.

  • Both work to understand the self-limiting beliefs or behavior caused by thoughts and emotions that you may or may not be aware of.

  • Both practices help you grow, change and master your emotions.

  • Both can work together to achieve different results.
